Billy and Rob have been great friends for 30 years. After Rob introduced him to the world of SCUBA, he began diving in 1989 and was certified in 1990.

Billy has worked on numerous Galleon wrecks from the 1715 and 1733 fleets. His first experience with Galleon wrecks was when he and Rob drove down to meet Bob Weller. Weller was gracious enough to allow them to dive with him aboard the Pandion. Later that trip they went diving with Lyn Carlson. Along the way, they also met Bob Marx, Floyd Drake, Ron Nelson, as well as other key people in wreck recovery.

In addition to being a research diver, he has an Accounting business (Need Help Services), and owns a Halloween Costume business (Costume Hunters), in Arizona. If that weren't enough, he works in the Film & TV industry as an Actor, Producer, and Cameraman. You can find his film credits here: William Bolander.

In his spare time, you can usually find him outdoors in the Arizona sun, either Kayaking or Hiking.
