This book provides a history of Treasure Coast and what was being found along the shores before Kip Wagner and Mel Fisher became famous. The book also includes the manuscript Gold on the Florida Coast: Let’s Get the Record Straight by Captain Steadman Parker. The rare manuscript is reproduced in its entirety and tells how Parker first got Wagner interested in the coins that had been washing ashore along the coast. Parker’s version of events is a truly unique perspective. The book also chronicles the early archaeological work conducted by Charles Dana Higgs and Hale Smith. The 1909 expedition to the Wedge Wreck, Joe Conway’s 1939 cannon recovery, “Operation Vero Beach” an expedition led by Art McKee in 1955, the amazing work performed in the area by Don Neiman along with many other never before published tales.

This book provides an overview of Historical Research & Development Inc.’s (HRD) search and salvage operations in the E-110 exploration area off Vero Beach, Florida, between 1988 and 2007. The author worked with Mo Molinar as HRD’s project archaeologist. The book also discusses the possibility of two 1715 Fleet ships that have not been located being in this exploration area (“La Holandesa” and “San Miguel de Excelsis”) and that these two ships were likely candidates to contain the Queen of Spain’s (Isabel Farnese) missing jewels which were documented as being aboard the 1715 Fleet. Finally, the book analyzes five possibilities as to why the Queen of Spain's jewels have never been located. Special 300th Anniversary update. Expanded photograph section including treasure and artifacts recovered during the 2014 salvage season.
